Joshua Look Back

Today's reading: Joshua 1–24

Thank you for reading through and considering the entire book of Joshua with me the past few weeks. I hope you found the time we spent in this packed-full, historical book beneficial. I know I did! What I learned from Joshua's personal example and from the strong message of trusting God in and through all circumstances provided needed encouragement to stay the course and stand strong right where God presently has me.

Take some time today to look back over the chapters of Joshua. What lessons or reminders did you find most beneficial, and why? Tami

I was thinking over the life of Joshua which seems almost sinless and
a man who sought the Lord before he when to battle and God gave him and Israel victory.
BUT one time we read that for some reason Joshua did not inquire of the Lord and no surprise, he suffered defeat.
Tami, it is good to review our past. This last chapter we read many times this refrain,"I (God)brought you out,(vs. 5) " "I gave them over to you,"vs.10) "I gave them unto your hands."

A reminder, it is not by our works we are saved- it is the Lord God Who gave His life so we can be saved! Victory is sure if we are going to Him for help.
Could I be my own worse enemy ? Whom I worship and lean on during good times and I am so weak spiritual because I do not tear down the statue of the false god,Self and let go and let God fight for me and guide my daily step.

May I from this day forward determine as Joshua to be prepared for battle with the Lord help. I need to spiritual fit for spiritual battles by reading God's Word and seeking Him in prayer, what He would have me do each day.
God gives us the time to do His will.
