Great Maker

Today's reading: Psalm 104:1-35; Genesis 1:1-31

I decided to stay with Psalm 104 one more day because of the rich information it gives us about our almighty Creator. The expressive descriptions brought to mind the creation account found in Genesis 1. These two passages certainly highlight God's greatness. There's no question that God is our maker and that He has absolute power, authority, and control over all.

"O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures" (vs. 24).

What's one thing you learned about God from Psalm 104? Take some time this weekend to focus on your surroundings. How would you describe the beauty of what God has made? Tami

Yes, Tami, God is good and God is great! He is the Great Maker indeed!

I was drawn to vs.26 "who looks on the earth and it trembles,
who touches the mountains and they smoke!"
Just a look and a touch! God can cause the earth to treble, and the mountains to smoke! That is what a Great Maker can do.

God blessed the living creatures and He blessed man.

Tami,I have thought this many times that what God made man cannot improve on and never does His creation have to be recalled, repaired or has the label of "new and approved"! When God does it, it last forever or until He wants to change to a New Heaven and New Earth!

We see that David praise the Lord, he sees value in God's greatness to him and to us. May I this day forth be knowing as praising the Lord instead of coming to Him with my list of complains, worries and disappointments!
I will take of the challenge to see the beauty God has made.
