Full Out Praise

Today's reading: Nehemiah 12:1-47

After letting us see the status of the priests and Levites, Nehemiah 12 turns to the dedication of the wall and its gates. It was a grand celebration for sure, with people coming from all the surrounding communities. There were two great choirs accompanied by trumpets and instruments. They came together and stood in the house of God and their praise was so loud and exuberant that people could hear the celebration miles away.

"And they offered great sacrifices that day and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and children also rejoiced. And the joy of Jerusalem was heard far away" (vs. 43).

What things are you thankful to God for today? How do you display your thankfulness and joy? When you praise God and rejoice over what He has done for you, what does it look like? In other words, describe what your praising looks like and sounds like to others. Tami

I am thankful to God today is your very wonderful Bible study with such deep insights, for my salvation, for forgiveness,God grace and love, for health, for my husband, the Bible, for provision, for wonderful church and Christian family members, and friends, for dedicated and willingly servants who I pray for to be safe and faithful to their calling including missionaries.
How do I display my thankfulness and joy? Are you wanting us to describe our emotions during our rejoicing? I usually cry with tears of rejoice and will break out with a song too. BUT when I got a phone call from home telling me that my 86 year old dad was saved!! I was so thrilled that I was jumping up and down and saying over and over again Praise the Lord, my dad is saved!! I was alone with my husband when I got that call.
I am aware that others rejoice in somewhat the same way they do at a ballgame when their team scores or wins the game. But my mom shows very little emotion even though she is thrilled too,but she would not even be seen in public clapping her hands at a game! I think, it was the way she was discipline as a child or else it could be her personality. I am so thankful that God judges our hearts as individual Yes, I have a lot to be thankful for, Tami!!

I lead worship in my church; it is such a blessing to me. I hope we can be heard miles away! That would be awesome.
