Shepherds and Wise Men

| | Comments (0)

Today's reading: Luke 2:1-21; Matthew 2:1-12

I never get tired of reading about the shepherds' encounter with the angels and the wise men's dedicated journey to find Jesus. My favorite part of each passage is what took place when each group encountered the Christ child. The wise men fell down, and they worshipped and offered gifts. The shepherds verbally proclaimed Christ, "glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them" (Luke 2:20). What a beautiful picture!

How will you worship and praise Christ this Christmas—and beyond? What's one thing that stood out to you about the shepherds? What about the wise men? Tami
