Giving Thanks

| | Comments (1)

One thing that can be said of David is that he was consistent about thanking God for His love, protection and provision. Psalm 138 is a great example of this. The very first verse of this song establishes a tone of gratitude that carries throughout the psalm, even as David writes about being in the middle of difficult circumstances.

"I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise" (Psalm 138:1).

Describe what you giving thanks to God with "your whole heart" should look like. What will you give thanks to God for today? Why is it important for us to continue giving thanks to God when we're in a difficult situation or season? Tami

Give thanks constantly, not just on Thanksgiving. And we as believers, more than any, have so much to be thankful for--eternally!
