Worship God

Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 10:1-22

Paul gives clear and express instructions to "not be idolaters" and to "flee from idolatry" in 1 Corinthians 10. In other words, he's telling the Corinthians (and us) that our worship should be reserved for God and God alone as our sovereign and loving Father.

What are some things that can become idols for you if you're not careful? How do you guard against pushing God aside to pursue worldly things? How does reading your Bible, going to church and having Christian friends help you keep God as your top priority? Tami

Jesus said,"where your treasure is there your heart will be also" and no man can serve two masters,Jesus our Lord restores our soul to keep us God conscious and realize that Salvation is of the Lord "it is ALL HIM none of us.

Idols can be insidious--anything that steals your thoughts away from God: TV, food, clothes, worry, many things distract. Take every thought captive to Christ.
