Good and Pleasant

Today's reading: Psalm 133:1-3

"Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!" (Psalm 133:1)

There is something extra special about Christ-followers operating in unity with one another. It's truly a joy to experience, and is absolutely pleasing to God.

Are you fostering and contributing to a spirit of unity in your church? How? What about in your home and in your work place? Tami

Unity in the body of Christ is one of my greatest desires. Unfortunately, I don't remember a point in my lifetime when the Church here in America has been more divided, as, on both sides of the conflict, we've allowed our devotion to political agendas to outweigh our devotion to Christ.

Unity starts with seeking the face of the God Who binds us together, and it's followed very closely by being willing to truly listen to understand and seek common ground, rather than continuing with the, "My way or the highway" philosophy. Augustine said that we should have, unity in the essentials, liberty in the non-essentials, and charity in all things. Oh, that we'd embrace that mindset!
