Today's reading: Psalm 121:1-8
David beautifully depicts God as our helper in the first four verses of Psalm 121. ("My help comes from the Lord..." (vs. 2)), and then describes God as our keeper in verses 5-8. What a rich picture of how God loves and cares for us.
What does God being your helper and keeper mean to you personally? How would you explain this to someone who doesn't have a relationship with Christ? What stood out most about God from this psalm, and why? Tami
As we begin a new year, some of us are prone to make new years resolutions but this Scripture reminds me that I don't need to make resolutions, that I probably won't keep anyway, what I need to do is look to God. He is the great creator and anything I need or want ultimately will come from Him!
The picture of the Lord at the shade at our right hand brings the image to my mind that He's also within arms' length of us.
I sleep so soundly, because God never sleeps. He surrounds me with protection; I can breathe easy knowing this and experiencing this.
