Today's reading: 1 Peter 2:13-17

Respectfully submitting to those who are in authority over us can be challenging at times. Yet, it's exactly what God expects and wants us to do. 1 Peter 2:13-17 clearly puts before us the call to submit to those who have authority over us, pairing this with the call to do good because we are living servants of God. Peter concludes this segment with the command to "Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor" (vs. 17).

How are you living out the charge to "Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor."? Is it your practice to pray for government officials? Tami
