Perfect Sacrifice

Today's reading: Matthew 26:1-28:20; Mark 14:1-16:20; Luke 22:1-24:53; John 18:1-20:30

This weekend, I have committed to reading the full account of Jesus' arrest, crucifixion, burial and resurrection in all the Gospels and am asking you to do the same with me. As we begin let's ask God to reveal to us new things we haven't noticed before as well as lessons and messages that He has for us.

So, no specific questions from me this weekend. But please do leave a comment or two about what God impressed on your heart as you read one or all of the accounts. Tami

The different perspectives if the Gospel writers are enlightening, and each one brings a sense of his purpose for writing to the account.

Also find it interesting that, according to Matthew and Mark, the perfume being used to anoint Jesus, rather than being sold, was apparently the final action that drove Judas to actively seek betrayal. Fitting, since John describes him as a thief in his account of the story, then follows closely after with the statement that, when they went to have their Passover meal, he'd already been enticed by Satan to betrayal.

I'd just like to pass on another way to help spread the gospel and it's simply this:-

Include a link to an online gospel tract (e.g. as part of your email signature.

An email signature is a piece of customizable HTML or text that most email applications will allow you to add to all your outgoing emails. For example, it commonly contains name and contact details - but it could also (of course) contain a link to a gospel tract.

For example, it might say something like, "p.s. you might like this gospel cartoon ..." or "p.s. have you seen this?".
