Loft Not Needed

Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

When I'm out and about, I like to talk with other believers about their experiences sharing Christ--do they share, how often, how have people responded, what hinders them? One thing that I hear frequently is how people are hesitant to speak up and share because they don't think they'll be able to answer questions that someone might pose to them, and they don't believe they can present the Gospel message with eloquence. Fortunately, neither of these things are a requirement for us to be able to share Christ. If we ask God to help us represent Him, He will give us courage and supply us with the right words for the specific situation.

What did you learn about sharing Christ from Paul's words and example here in 1 Corinthians 2:1-5? Tami

Paul was a great scholar but depended solely upon the Holy Spirit to share the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is something I need to do put my trust completely in Christ crucified rather than cower and be ashamed to share the Gospel of Christ.

Sharing Christ should be our desire

Christ and Him Crucified! Not giving out ice water to those on their way to hell.

One of Paul's expressed concerns here is that people's faith find its foundation in the Spirit's power, rather than human wisdom. In light of that, we need Him to speak through our lives and our words.

just as i have to rely on the spirits power for other things,to share the gospel or even my testimony goes without saying.I don't have to fear not having all the answers or the right words the indwelling Holy Spirit will put power to my words.Faith in the power of God not men.
