Today's reading: Luke 17:20-37

As I read Luke 17:20-37, our earthly thinking--wanting to know when we will see the kingdom of God and when Christ will return--really stood out to me. It got me thinking about the contrast there is between our perspective and God's, which served as a good reminder for me that all the details of God's plan, and especially His timing, are beyond my full comprehension.

What did this passage show you about God being in control and His plan? How does knowing that Christ could return at any moment influence your daily living? Tami

One thing I constantly impress upon my people is that one of two things is going to happen within our lifetime: either Christ is going to return, or we're going to die. Either one could occur at any moment, so we must constantly be ready.

I am thankful that God is in control and that he is bigger than me and that some of my problems seem so big, but when I focus on God I know that he will work it out. Knowing that Christ's return can be at any second I want my life as a Christian to be more evident.

It made really wonder if the people I love and want to be saved will in fact be saved. you feel sadness too because you can't be sure

God's plan is much bigger than ours and being the creator of everything, His plan will come. We go according to His plan, when he decides it is time. It is a bit scary not knowing what could happen and when, but that is why we trust God. God loves us and will surely take care of us. Follow Him and give him your dedication and rest in the comfort of his Peace.
