Custodians

Today's reading: Luke 16:1-13

I don't know how many times I've heard the comment, as well as made the comment myself, that everything we have is God's. That statement is absolutely true, so reading the parable of the dishonest manager was a good reminder that we serve God and we are only keepers and custodians of what He has so generously given us.

Verses 10-13 were powerful ones for me, especially verse 10. What's one example of how are you being faithful in taking care of what God has given you? Tami

I give, sowing, into God's Kingdom whenever, or however I can - though I may not be employed.

God gave me life and my body. My body is his temple. So, I take good care of myself, trying to eat the most nutritious foods, no smoking, no drinking and I try to exercise vigorously 5 days a week. I try to get lots of sleep but this isn't always possible. The nutritional part I find very hard because there are so many toxins being sold as consumables and the media has different reports on what is good and what is bad for you .

God has given me talents that both support me and allow me to help others. I give of my time and money and God has blessed me with all I need and more. This is a good message and a good reminder to not hold on too tightly to what is not mine in the first place.

I'm happy to be able to give back to God a portion of the multitude He's given to me, so that His kingdom may advance and He may be glorified.
