He's Got Us Covered

Today's reading: Psalm 62

One of the things I notice about Psalm 62 is that several key ideas are repeated and emphasized for us.

- For God alone, my soul waits
- He only is my rock and salvation (hope); my fortress
- I shall not be shaken

All incredible reminders that God has us and our lives covered. So coming to Psalm 61 yesterday and 62 today was good for me.

So how might we put Psalm 62 into practice in our day-to-day lives? How can we draw on these incredible words and let them be our guide? Tami

God is our refuge--our strong tower--and, we must learn to take shelter in Him, rather than relying on our own defenses.

Building on Brian's thought, it is sometimes so hard to humble ourselves and realize that everything begins and ends with Him--we sometimes forget how powerless we are. When we realize we are nothing, God can become everything!

Well fist off for me, I remember that God has everything covered. I might not know the next step or worry about something, but I am reminded that God has my best interest in mind and he won't let me down! How cool is that to know that someone bigger is guiding and making my steps for me? I am protected, cared for, and loved.
