Surrendered to Christ

Today's reading: Colossians 3:18-25

For whatever reason none of us seem to like the word submit. But the life of a Christian really is about submission and it starts with each of us surrendering our hearts and lives to Christ. So when we reach Colossians 3: 18-25 Paul is simply laying out a properly functioning family, starting with Christ at the head.

So was there something from this passage that spoke to your heart today? How are you submitting to God and working heartily for the Lord?

P.S. If you struggle with the word "submit" I encourage to talk to God about it. Ask Him to change your heart.

Verse 23 stood out for me. To submit to any rule, person, even to God is hard when you are set in a way that make you comfortable. Looking at the reverse wouldn't you want your children to sumbmit to you because you know what is good for them?

To sumbit to God whole heartedly take times but to do so I think on the good that will come of it and I ask God to do it through His strength not my own. Let him lead me where he will I will go without a murmur and His footstep follows still.

Marriage is like a business, you have to communicate, and decide what will work the best in your marriage, business, etc. You should have one person as the (CEO), who makes the final decision.

Verse 24 offers us the reminder that as we submit ourselves to Christ and His way, there is a.m. inheritance of eternal life that is poor our reward--and, the wonderful truth is that we can begin enjoying that reward right now, right here in this life as we live it for Him.

What stuck out to me is that in all I do, I am serving the Lord!
