I LOVE the Lord

Psalm 116

I found Psalm 116 tender and moving. It illustrated so beautifully how God watches over us and cares about each of our lives and needs. As I reached the end of the chapter, I found myself right with the psalmist. My heart was crying out I love you Lord!

So if you're with me (and the psalmist) fill in the following blanks (and then send it back as a blog response). I love the Lord because _______________________. I will offer __________ to the Lord for all He has done for me. Looking forward to seeing your responses!! Tami

I love the Lord because he gives me hope, when I have been without a job for over a year, I will offer praise and worship today to the Lord for all He has done for me.

I love the Lord because he gives me peace and grace which I don't deserve.I will offer my time and my thoughts to the Lord for all He has done for me, Amen

Well, today I’ll follow Tami’s suggestion and answer her question as follows:
I love you Lord because:
1) You died on the cross and rose again to prepare an eternal home for me (a sinner) when I accept you as my savior. What a plan, and it’s free just for taking! No man or other manmade god can offer such a plan! You are the only true and living God.
2) You heard my voice when I called upon you for mercy and salvation. Now I am your child forever!
3) You gave me peace and comfort to know I’m free of the sins of fallen mankind.
4) You are steadfast and faithful to fulfill every promise in your Word.
5) You have given me wonderful friends who also are your children. The fellowship and joy this brings to my heart is priceless.
6) You were faithful to spare my life from the grips of death over 25 years ago and allow me to enjoy health to this day.
7) Many other gifts too numerous to list.
I will offer you Lord:
1) My eternal love and appreciation for your gift of eternal life with you.
2) My desire to serve you in whatever way you lead. Thank you for this opportunity and show me all the places you want me to serve you.
Thank you Lord for your Word and please open my mind and heart to understand as I read your Word daily. Help me to share this meaning with other friends and children of yours.

I Love the Lord because He first Loved me and I will offer my life for all he has done for me....

I love the Lord because He first loved me* and because when I have slipped and fallen, He doesn't give up on me; His Word says that He will leave the 99 and go after the one who is lost/strayed from His fold. He is a God of second chances and is ready to forgive when we fail Him. I am so grateful that He is patient, forgiving and compassionate, etc. I am thankful for His steadfast love and that He keeps drawing me to Himself. We must remember that as His children we have the power through His Holy Spirit to have victory in our lives when we are tempted. I have to remind myself that when I am weak, He is strong...
I offer You my life and I praise and worship You with all my heart. Giving thanks always in all life's circumstances no matter what happens. Jesus, Lamb of God, worthy is Your name... Amen.
