Judges 7:16-25

The routing of the Midianites by Gideon and his tiny band of faithful men has to be one of the most impressive battles in the Bible. The weapons of choice for Gideon's group are almost laughable if we didn't know the outcome--trumpets, smashed jars and torches. I just love the unique and creative ways God works on our behalf and how He reveals himself to us.

What encouragement can we draw from Judges 7:16-25? How might we use this passage when it comes to battles we're facing or simply our work and service for the Lord? Tami

Love this!......it really doesn't depend upon our resources and/or abilities; but only upon our obedience, trust, & dependence upon the Lord.

Gideon is a great example God gives us!!

There is nothing that is too hard for our God, nothing He can't accomplish, no enemy He can't deliver us from, and even when the circumstances seem bleak and we seem outnumbered,He's still omnipotent and in control.

God will let us know how to proceed in times of battle, if we try see t Him.

When we are oppressed we sometimes want to get back at our oppressers in the worst way , when all we have to do is"stand by and see the salvation of the LORD,the LORD will fight for you while you keep selent"(Exodus 14:13,14)
