Support System

Philippians 2:19-30

As I read Philippians 2:19-30 the importance of having Christian friends really hit me. Life is full of choices and challenges and trying to navigate and weather it all on our own isn't smart. The way I see it, having a godly support system, as well as being a support for someone else, is a must.

How have Christian friends been a help to you? What are you doing to support other Christ followers? How can you get more involved in both encouraging and walking alongside other Christians, as well as receiving and accepting encouragement and support from others? Tami

For me even an email friend is important, we share what we've learn or listen. She lives far from me but I know she is there, I pray for her and her husband. They came for a visit 2 y ago, and it was so nice to be together.Christian friends are so precious and I cherish them much , specialy this one.

Yes, Praise the Lord for Christian friends! There is a special group of us that have been meeting each Tuesday for almost 20 years to pray together, share & fellowship. These ladies are a blessing to me. My husband & I are so thankful to ALL our friends. We get together to eat, encourage, play games, talk/discuss. We are there for one another.

I have been blessed to have women come along side me and encourage me, teach me, pray for me. I'm forever grateful for a woman who gave my husband and myself a devotional book 'My utmost for His Highest' by Oswald Chambers. It changed our lives. Because of this, I am always aware that a 'simple book' can be used by God to draw people to him. I try to keep 'extra' books that I love to read so that I can give them away. People won't ask about the book you are reading if it is a Bible, but they will ask about others.

I've been able to grow so much in my walk with Christ thanks to Godly people who have allowed themselves to be used by Him. There are always people on whom I can lean for support, and I strive to be that same kind of person for others.

I have been praying that God gives them to me. Am sure he will bring along those genuine christian friends to support me( epsecially in this todler phase) cos i also know there is something he has in me that can be of value to another. Amen
