One Gospel

Galatians 1:1-10; 2:15-21

Paul doesn't hold back one bit as he writes to the churches in Galatia admonishing them because they have not held firm to the one true gospel--faith in Jesus Christ, period. Twice Paul states, let anyone who is preaching a gospel contrary to that of faith in Jesus Christ be accursed.

So how did Paul's words get you thinking about the gospel, specifically it's importance and how you and others are spreading it? Tami

Paul is a great encourager to use the Word and Gospel of Jesus to increase our faith and our allegiance to Him. It causes me to get more pumped up in my Bible teaching and small group Bible study facilitating. All praises and glory to Him Who is the One, our eternal and forgiving LORD.

Paul is right when he says "let anyone who is preaching a gospel contrary to that of faith in Jesus Christ be accursed" because Christ is the Word. That is why we have to study God's Word and make sure that what we say is the Gospel Truth. Sometimes it may be hard when one person sits down to read the Word and it is good to join a Bible Study or Prayer group because where two are gathered in My name there will I be also (paraphrased). Right now we need to pray for our nations because while we should love each other it is wrong for same sex to be married. It is against God's Word - Leviticus 18:22-23. We need to bring back God into the schools and public functions because it is only God who gets us through each day. People need to know that God is a God of love and not hate or evil. Without Him we are nothing. May we all pray without ceasing and do not allow anyone to draw us into things that are not of God. May He continue to bless all persons share His Good News and give us the confidence and strength to speak out on evil.

The "truth" of the Gospel is the Christians motivation (as we can see it was the Apostle Paul's)! This world is filled with so many falsehoods and hopeless things, it's an honour to hold out Truth & Hope to a dying world!

I liked the simplicity of this message from God (through Paul). There is only one way to be saved, through Jesus Christ our Lord. When I hear other 'gospels' told by others, I only have to remember my faith in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:20 is such an awesome truth. Christ lives in and through us, and this is the hope of glory. With Him empowering us to live lives that are pleasing to Him, we will continually become more and more accurate representations of who He is to the world.
