Loving Expressions

Psalm 84:1-12

I love the way the psalmist expresses his love and joy for the Lord in Psalm 84. His tone and attitude totally struck a chord with me. My absolute favorite verse was verse 2. "My soul longs, yes faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God." And when I reached the end of the chapter, I seriously felt like standing up and shouting "Yes!" even though I was all by myself, sitting at my computer.

So how did Psalm 84 impact you? Did it give you a shot in the arm like it did me?

P.S. I invite you to listen to Back to the Bible and the series Becoming Intimate with God this week. It's packed full of good, practical teaching from Dr. Kroll.

Could you please tell me what the name of the book you were talking about on how to be intimate with God? Thanks so much

yes, I felt the same way the verse that summed it up for me was verse 10. Praise God!!

I agree with you completely Tammi. It definitely makes one want to stand up and shout for sure. We are so lucky to have a God who loves us so much and is there for us no matter how often we fail. We need to give Him praise much more often!

This Psalm tells me just how blessed, wonderful and beautiful it is to dwell with our Lord. When we dwell in Him and He dwells in us there is nothing we lack. It is a place where as Tami and Laura say
you want to shout and praise God. May we all dwell with Him so He will guide our paths. When we truly serve the Lord we can feel bold and without fear. Have a blessed day.

Psalm 84 is one of my favorites, and verse 10 is so true to me. There is nothing in all the world like living with the reality of God's presence in our lives, and sharing that with the fellowship of our fellow believers.

Yes! Absolutely.... I especially resonate with the verse that says that I'd rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than dwell in the tents of wickedness. Amen!

We believe the book Dr. Kroll referenced is How to Find God in the Bible. You can find the book and study guide in the Back to the Bible online store using the link below.

Hope this helps!
