Be a Seeker

Psalm 24

David tells us that those who seek the face of God "will receive blessings from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation" (Psalm 24:5).

What do you do to seek the face of God? How have you sought after God in the past week? Tami

One of my favourite verses is Jeremiah 29:13 "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart"

To really seek God, I (as well as all of us) need to be sure our hearts are in it, and we're not just going through "the devotional motions".

The following verses challenge me to live a pure life, May not be perfect but pure so that I can reap the fringe benefits

Who may climb the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?

4 Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies.

5 They will receive the LORD’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior. NLT

The last four verses of the Psalm remind us that seeking God's face is very much an intentional thing. We're called to seek Him with purpose, and when we do so, He'll pour His Spirit and blessings into our lives.

I have sought the face of God this past week by praying and submitting my every need and fear to Him. I cried out and asked to be healed in Jesus's name-emotionally and physically. He tells us that He will take care of us. I gave all of my uncertainties to The Lord, and when I did, I felt "peace that passeth understanding." My inner soul has rest, and I continue to put all of my trust in The Lord! He asks us to come to Him when we are weary, and He will give us rest--and I am living proofs of His promises!
I receive blessings from The Lord in different ways and for that I give thanks .
