2 Corinthians 1:18-22; 5:1-10
Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 1:22 that God has "put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee." In other words, we're sealed by the Holy Spirit.
For the next two days on Back to the Bible, Dr. Kroll is teaching on the Holy Spirit sealing us and what that means. And on today's program we see that our sealing signifies identity, ownership, security and value. I encourage you to listen to get a complete explanation and all the details from Dr. Kroll.
As a Christ-follower, does knowing that you're sealed by the Holy Spirit encourage you? Make you thankful? Confident? Tami W.

So many cling to this mortal flesh, many denying God
Some like babies not wanting to leave the womb. (not speaking of modern holocaust)
so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
Some because they fear the accountability.
I put my faith in Jesus who paid my all.
Richard Wurmbrand said that the fascists under hitler paled in comparison to the communists in evil toward believers in Christ Jesus.
Stand Firm, be a watchman on the wall, witness Christ crucified and resurrected!
This I find strength in.
Grace and Peace, until Judgment Day
Hi! I listen to Dr. Kroll's message on radio and always enjoy your observations and comments Tami. Being sealed by the Holy Spirit gives me the Blessed Assurance as I continue my journey each day. I look for the favor of God throughout the day and regard each person I meet as a Gift. My favorite passage dealing with the topic of being sealed by the Holy Spirit is found in Ephesians 4:30
"And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."
God's Best to you! Barry
I've always loved this truth that the Holy Spirit, as the passage said today, is given us as a down-payment of sorts, a deposit to guarantee an eternity spent in God's presence. We're given a little sneak preview of sorts of what that experience will be like. How encouraging!
It makes me even more homesick.
Knowing that my faith is sealed by the Holy Spirit indeed encourages me because sometimes my faith is weak and i am not as trusting as I should be. Thanks for pointing this out to me. I do hope i will remember this and it will continue to encourage me. especially when my faith is weak. I forget where I stand in Christ sometimes I think or else i just am discouraged when my life is not going well.
