John 3:1-8; Galatians 5:22-25

Well we're starting a two week series on the Holy Spirit today on Back to the Bible. It's called The God Within: What the Holy Spirit Does. I encourage you to tune in and take part in these great studies with Dr. Kroll. We'll learn all about the Holy Spirit--Who He is, His role, what a helper He is to us, and more.

So what did you observe or see about the Holy Spirit in John 3:1-8 and Galatians 5:22-25? Did anything in particular grab your attention? Why? Tami W.

What God shows me:
Gal 5:24-25
24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

So if a lifestyle of sexual immortality, even one lived-out only in the thoughts of the mind so create concern in we are who belong to Christ Jesus

Grace and Peace, until Judgment Day

I realized that Jesus knew exactly what Nicodemus wanted to hear even though he did not tell Him or asked Him about the Kingdom. Jesus told Nicodemus how he could enter the Kingdom of God because He knew that's what he was curious about. Many times we come to God not knowing what we want to know but He gives the right answer. That is what the Holy Spirit does in us. Thank you, Lord.

The Spirit gives life in its truest sense. His work ushers us into relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and continues to draw us closer and make us more like Him as we continue to live for Him.

The fruits of the Spirit are peace, love, joy etc. If the Spirit is in us why do we complain about anything?! We need to be walking with the Spirit. I'm ashamed about the little things I complain of........ not very spirit filled. These passages reminded me of the way God wants me to live.

In the fruits of the Spirit the one I struggle with the most is self control. I am ashamed to talk with someone about the issues that I deal with that deal with self-control and I pray alot on this issue but I feel as if God is tired of hearing me. I will continue to pray.
