Injustice. That's the word that comes to mind every time I read the account of Joseph and Potiphar's wife. Here's Joseph following God and doing the right things yet he still finds himself in a bad situation in Potiphar's home, and then an even worse situation in prison. However...when I step back and look at the whole story and how it plays out, it is so clear that God was absolutely in control and working mightily through each and every situation.
So what did you see from Joseph about experiencing tough situations, doing the right thing, temptation and trusting God? Tami W.

The story of Joseph is my favorite. He maintained focus on God and I believe this is what gave Joseph the strength to get through all of his trials.
Joseph, above all else, was committed to God, and, as a result, wherever he found himself, God blessed him. That's not to say that slavery and prison were a cakewalk for him. In fact, we come to find that he definitely wants out! But, he was able to do more than just survive precisely because God was with Him, just as He'll be with us as we live for Him.
First, I see obedience and not wanting to hurt his God, so he overcame the flesh. Next, I see Joseph's faith and trust in God, something we don't see today or at least much of it. Another thing I saw was his witness for God. He told the woman he wouldn't do that wicked thing against God. That had to speak volumns. Even when he went to prison, he was innocent but he never blamed God or ask God to get him out of prison, I believe he trusted God more and believed that God knew what He was doing. There is so much in the story of Joseph that I need to learn and apply to my life, but in our modern day life style I continue to be busy and somewhat materlistic. I need to learn what God is up to and do His will instead of my own.
God is always with us. When we put our hope, trust, and faith in God and do not turn away when difficulties arise (or when everything is going well), we know we are part of His plan. Joseph did what was right no matter what the consequences. If we committ our lives to God, He will be able to use us to fulfill His plans. And His plans are always for good.
