There's a reason jealousy is referred to as a green-eyed monster, and boy, do we ever get a glimpse of that in Genesis 37:12-36. I have no doubt that Joseph's brothers were pretty normal people--hard working, logical, and that family was important to them--but when jealousy wormed its way into their lives, things changed. Rational thinking went right out the window--so much so that they were ready and wanting to murder Joseph (accept for Reuben).
What did Genesis 37:12-36 and the situation with Joseph's brothers reveal to you about jealousy and unchecked sin? Tami W.
