Deuteronomy 31:9-13

Moses is nearing the end of his life in Deuteronomy 31. So he calls the Israelites together and announces that Joshua will be their new leader and gives them instruction. You see, Moses knew that in order for the Israelites to prosper as a nation they had to be following God and His Word. In Deuteronomy 31:12 Moses says "Assemble the people, men, women, and the little ones, and the sojourner within your towns that they may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God and be careful to do all the words of this law." In other words, everyone--from young to old--is to hear and follow the Law.

Take some time today to consider the different things Deuteronomy 31:9-20 reveals to us about God's Word. What does it show about the importance of taking it in? Understanding it? Putting it into action? What about who it's for?

P.S. I encourage you to check out the Back to the Bible programs this week as we welcome speaker and author Jeffrey Dean. Jeffrey speaks all over the country primarily at youth conferences, and he'll be talking about reclaiming our country, youth, homes, churches and lives for God. Hope you can tune in.

To and for all....even people who are travelers, fellow or not.

We are to train up the children, the Nation and even the stranger who happens along.

America is un-repentant, that is why we have the leaders we do.

"Assemble the people, men, women, and the little ones, and the sojourner within your towns that they may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God and be careful to do all the words of this law"

Irish vote (60%) to give Gov. control over their own children...

God gives governments to bless the holy and curse the evil.
Grace and Peace until Judgment Day.

Peter once said to Jesus, "You alone have the words of life." This being the case, we take in spiritual life when we take in His words, and gaining understanding of it through the Holy Spirit's work in our hearts will increase not only our ability to put it into action, but our motivation to do so, as well.
