Paul calls the Philippians (and us) to "shine as lights in the world" in Philippians 2:15. And all around that phrase, he gives us examples and provides us with context for exactly what he means. That being the case, I took a few minutes to just look through this passage and consider what I was accomplishing and how I was doing as a "shining light" overall.
How are you shining as a light in the world (think about specifics)? Would someone you don't go to church with or who isn't part of your immediate family know that you are a follower of Christ? Tami W.

I dont think they would consider me a follower of Jesus, they would more than likely say things like she is nice or a hard worker at times. But more often than not troubled by the goings on in my life I tend to get stressed out by various things and lash out at those around me and so in that I would not say I reflect Christianity at all.
I do think people who don't really know me know that I am a follower of Christ. I live in a small town so most people know who I am. Just being concerned about others-asking about their health, their families opens up opportunities to share the gospel and God's great love for us. Others are so good to share with me also.
Right now, I'm reading "Anything" by Jennie Allen. I dream about doing huge (important) things for Christ. This passage is so convicting - how much am I "doing all things without grumbling or disputing"? My husband would probably tell you not a lot! It's a little thing, but if I focus on it, it would allow me to stand out as a child of God. Maybe I should work on tackling that first!
Amid the struggles of each day am learning to reveal christ at every oppotunity.may God strengthen me
I do not allow others to intimidate me nor do I comprimise my beliefs to appease others. That may not like it, but they respect it.
I believe that people would know that I'm a follower of Christ, and I believe that can be attributed solely to the Holy Spirit working withing me continually to bring about Christlikeness.
