Psalm 135:1-21
Yesterday "bless the Lord," today the command is "praise the Lord." And, right after issuing this instruction, the psalmist goes on and gives us example after example of why God is worthy of all our praise.So I thought it would be good for us to join the psalmist today by making verse 5 our own, if you will. You can do that by finishing this sentence:

When friends have forsaken me, the Lord has always been with me. When my husband suffered through Alzheimer God was with me. He allowed my husband to recognize me until he went into coma. He always guides and protects me. He is all this and so much more
Today's meditation reminds me of the Michael W. Smith song Above all Powers. The climax of the song for me is "You (Christ) took the fall and thought of me, Above All"! Because of His sacrifice for me, the Lord is great and above all. What a Savior!
God is good, I have learned if we only listen to God and be still God will open our eyes to see and our ears to hear. I give praise to God every morning and throughout the day of all the blessings He has given to me. If we will only let God work in our lives we can have calm in the storms of our lives. Praise God !!
For I know the Lord is great and above all gods because in all that I've faced in life, He's always been there, and has never failed me.
He will incline my heart to praise and worship Him, and because He continually yearns for me to draw closer to Him.

because I know that no matter where ive been or what ive done the Lord will be waiting with open arms for me.
...because I experience His presence in my life, and because of the accounts provided in the Bible by those who experienced Him in their lives.

because He communicates with His children ... through prayer and His Word (all other gods are silent)
...because He is the only One who had the power to forgive my sin. He is like no other god.
For i know the Lord is great & above all things because he loves me & HIS mercies endureth forever.
Because God is the TOTAL Source of ALL My Need & Supply. HE loves Me so much, first, & I love Him back because of His love towards me. I strive to make Him my everything & only the one true, living Jesus can do this!
For I know the Lord is great and above all gods because "He is the only God that abides in me as I abide in Him". He is alive and in control.
...He shed his blood to pay the penalty for my sins.
I praise Him because I can know Him. Be still and know that I am God.
