Sweet Forgiveness

Psalm 130:1-8

Do you ever get into a mode where you feel lousy and start thinking I'm such a terrible person, how could God really forgive me? I go there sometimes, especially if I slip up and sin in an area in which I really know better (like with my tongue). So Psalm 130:3-4 hit me powerfully. "If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared." These verses gave me encouragement to keep up the good fight and were an excellent reminder that I need to be thanking God continually for His forgiveness.

So what did Psalm 130 convey to you about forgiveness? How often do you thank the Lord for His forgiveness? Tami W.

My soul waits forgiveness. I have grieved the Holy Spirit. When I knowingly sin I wait on the Lord in much prayer. He is faithful to forgive when I repent. I can feel the Holy Spirit working in my life once again and I know all is well once again!

"That you may be feared."
Revered. Respected. In awe. Humbled. All manner of words come to my mind. Truly, forgiveness is not something to be feared. What a wonderful God we serve! What an amazing God who forgives us. Praise God!

HI TAMI

WHEN I KNOWINGLY SIN I FEEL SO TOTALLY BROKEN THAT I WONDER WHY I SINNED. I KNOW THAT GOD IS LOVING AND FORGIVING AND I WILL CONFESS AND REPENT SOMETIMES IN MUCH TEARS BUT I DO NOT IMMEDIATELY FEEL FORGIVEN (I GUESS THAT THIS IS MY CONSCIENCE).

AT TIMES IT TAKES AS MUCH AS THREE DAYS FOR ME TO FEEL THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AGAIN. THIS PSALM IS TRULY APPROPRIATE TO SHOW US THE FORGIVING AND LOVING GOD THAT WE SERVE BUT WE MUST REMEMBER THAT A TIME IS COMING WHEN HIS PATIENCE WILL WEAR THIN.

I continually struggle with believing God will forgive even me. When I find myself in sin again and again and yet even again I can't fathem that all I have to do is repent AGAIN and he will forgive me AGAIN. This passage has blessed me. God is faithful and He does not lie so if his word says it then it must be true. This gives me hope. Thank you Lord!

That is why we are saved in Christ, and you have to know it in your heart and mind. None of us can keep the 10 commandments, that's why Jesus Christ came to be the propitiation of our sins. The blood of Christ was the only thing good enough to save us. We have got to remember this, and moreso, know this.

Continuously, thank God for His forgiveness, HIS Sweet Forgiveness!

I have sinned, and continue to give into the same temptation that I pray to turn away from. Today, I have come to terms and have made a vow to not allow the flesh dominate my soul. Today in service, I cried out to the Lord to reveal himself, to let me hear him. Wow! The message was so powerful. My pastor spoke so boldly but with compassion. Now I read this lesson at nearly 2 a.m. PST. I know he forgives me and loves me, but I must learn to love, respect and forgive myself. I no longer want to take for granted his love antd moercy, because one day, he will come or call me home. I thank you Father for loving me and forgiving me of those sins I know you frown against. I want you to be proud of me so I will put up a stronger fight. I will seek you instead of willfully throwing in the white flag. I surrender to you, in Jesus's name, amen. Thank you for speaking to me through this lesson, this Psalm.
