Psalm 13:1-6
From the sound of it, David is really in the pits as he writes Psalm 13. I could so identify with him because I've been there plenty of times. But even as dark as David feels his situation is, he doesn't lose sight of God's goodness and his need to praise God and be in relationship with Him. I love that because it lets me know that no matter my situation, but especially when I'm in the valley, I can still have joy and peace as a result of my relationship with God.
So what did you take in from Psalm 13 today? Did it prepare you for your next valley? Encourage you? Reveal something to you about God? Tami W.

I know a lady who received a beautiful set of china when she was married many years ago. She keeps it stored out of sight, and she has never used it. God is very different in that He not only wants us visible, but He realizes that we are going to eventually get "chipped".
Isn't it wonderful that God will not discard us for not being good enough, nor will He hide us away from the world (that needs to hear of His love from someone)? When we do get scratched, chipped, or broken, He can and will "fix" us.
This seems to come at the right time for me. I have been down, but the Lord has prepared me by giving me strength to keep focus on him and his goodness. I know that he restores me, even if I have leftover feelings of sadness or guilt over sin.
what the scripture is sayin to me is,no matter how long we as christians go thru trials and real hardship, as long as we cry out to god sincerely he will always delivers us.because david has cried out to god,,and puts also his trust in him when he got delivered he sings praises unto him.the verse that stood out most in my mine is (v3)
Paul, a terrific analogy you offer! It IS wonderful that, as long as we ask to be "fixed," He will do it! And even when we are "down" and feeling that He is not so near, He will return as long as we are faithful. There is also always something for us to learn from our "down" periods.
This Psalm shows man in despair. Matter how you feel, God never changes. You can count on God for your Salvation.
I'm so happy and bless that God is always there for me. HIS word promises & assures me so that during valley/low days or moments He'll be there for me! At those low times I can hold on to HIS unchanging hand. I'm glad He always there.
