Psalm 125:1-5
Lately it seems like almost everywhere I look friends, co-workers, people at church are struggling with health problems, jobs, finances, relationships. So reading Psalm 125 was good because it gave me a needed reminder (plus a little boost) that God has got all the details of our lives covered, and because of that, we can stand firm. "Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people. . . " (Psalm 125:1-2).
Did you get any reminders and/or encouragement from Psalm 125? How will you draw on and use Psalm 125:1-2 going forward? Tami W.

This is just what I needed today. I live in Connecticut and am starting day 9 without power. This is a good reminder that God is good and strong and that we should abide in Him no matter what. He is our power.
Our daughter is currently in Vancouver on Outtatown (check out www.outtatown.ca). They are staying in a hostel which has bed bugs and this week they will do an urban plunge among the homeless, etc in the downtown area. She is somewhat stressed. I was able to e-mail her this passage as a reminder that God is with her like the Rocky Mountains are surrounding Vancouver and God is with his people. What awesome timing for you to have this passage. God bless you.
As I have been going through some financial trials right now, I am being reminded that God is still in control. He has surrounded me with his loving arms as protections. I just need to remember that and trust in Him for all things. This is hard especially right now because it seems so daunting for me and my family. This was first week with Powered by 4 and you have been a great blessing to me. I can't wait for the following weeks to come. I will end with this short prayer for all who read this. Heavenly Father help us not to lose sight of who is really in control of this world and our circumstances. Help us to stay focus on what is really important for all of us which is to honor you in all that we do and point people to you. In Jesus name amen.
The trials we go through is a reminder that God is in control. As long as we keep our faith and trust in God, we will be reminded that He has and never will leave us. Thanks be to God for this ministry and the timing of his Word.
Psalm 125 reminds me of how important it is to keep trusting the Lord and live a upright life. God give me strength to do this till HIS RETURN!
In a few weeks, I am going to retire. It was exciting to me at first and scary for my wife. Now the roles are reversed; scary for me, exciting for my wife. I think about all of the things that could go wrong and they still might. But to claim these first two verses as God's promise to me is awesome. Thanks for sharing!

To Connie: Just a note to tell you that the mountains around Vancouver, B.C. are called the COAST MOUNTAIN RANGE, not the Rockies. I live on beautiful Vancouver Island and have lived in Vancouver and area as well. It is a BIG, very needy city, but also spectacular in its beauty. I am glad that your daughter is helping out there. May God bless her ministry.
