Critical Message

Psalm 127:1-5

All I kept thinking as I read Psalm 127:1-2 is This is the message that is so lacking, (or maybe more accurately stated, ignored) in our world today. And it made me sad because understanding that unless the Lord is our foundation our living is in vain, is so critical for us individually, in our families, in our churches and for the nation in which we live.

So how important is it that the Lord be the foundation of your life? What can and will you do to help advance this important message, first with the people closest to you and then to broader circles? Tami W.

I agree...we so often get in the going it alone mode. John 15:5 says the same too..“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing...............

Wirhout the Lords blessing , all human effort is in vain. See ye first the kingdom of God. It is like putting the cart before the horse! :-)

the lord being the foundation of my life is very important to me because he says in his words in all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct my path.(prov. 3 v 6) so that is just tellin us that we are nothing without god.so when we live a life like this which is pleasing to god our relatives and friends will recognize this and they also will try to do the same.

I agree w/ all of you. I will do as you do to spread this very important message.

I agree.........Well said to the above comments:)
I was just talking to my Mom this morning. She was telling me about some people that have gone out of their way to help and be there for others. I had told her that we are to be God's hands and feet, if we are not as Christians then how are we showing others the love of Christ? I am so thankful for my Mom and the godly example she has been to me and continues to be for me. By her sharing and listening to her stories, it is such a spiritual uplift. I thank God for my Mom!!! I thank Him for working in and through her life. So I and others and see Jesus. I am so thankful for all the people that are put in my life in one way or another, that are there to help me spiritualy. It is my reminder to continue to keep my eyes on God, and to do what He wants me to do. :)

I do ask for prayer with tears in my eyes. Please pray for me to be strong in my faith and my walk with Christ. I REALLY struggle with others that do not have the same excitement and joy that I have when it comes to Christ. It is very easy when you are taking with someone that shares the same knowledge and excitement and understanding when it comes to Christ and His ways:) The real challenge is when you are faced with someone that does not see things the same way, that is really hard, this is where I really need prayer please.
I thank God for all of you that leave comments, and we, together are learning and growing in Christ.
God Bless, have a good day.

The foundation of a building is usually ignored until a storm comes. Then the presence of a strong foundation becomes the deciding factor in whether the building stands of not. The same is true in our lives. Only building our lives on the strong foundation of God's truth will we survive the storms of life.
