Psalm 100:1-5
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!" (Psalm 100:4). I say Amen to that! Wanna join me? Think about it, how can we go wrong if we follow these instructions? When we're thankful and operating with a thankful heart, things are just better because there's basically no room for things like negativity and pity parties that pull us off course and can get us into trouble.
So according to Psalm 100, every day should be a day of thanksgiving for us. I'm totally up for that and thought it would be fun for us to share some of our thankfulness here on P4. So drop us a comment about what you're thankful to the Lord for this week. Tell us some big things, some little things, maybe even some odd or funny things. Then, if you haven't already done so, thank the Lord for these things too. Tami W.
P.S. This year I'm thanking God for many things. Here's just a sampling. From God's beautiful creation in my garden or on my travels, to my favorite color of green (notice my Bible), to my husband and family, to frosted wedding cake (my absolute favorite dessert!), to delicious berries each morning for breakfast--I am truly thankful.

Thank you for this! I am thankful for the swift recovery that the Lord gave me; I have been sick for the past few days and He restored me. He also strengthened me during my examinations, which I took while I was ill. Trust in the Lord, for He is good; His mercy and kindness endures forever. His grace abounds!
I'm thankful for my family. I'm thankful for a mother and father that I have never in 40+ years ever seen in an argument. For the fact that I never saw them raise their voice in anger. Not one time! To have an earthly father and mother that have always set such a Christian example of how to walk with the Lord has been one of the greatest blessings and something that I am thankful for every day!
I read Psalm 100 and was overcome with joy. Simple as that. I decided to read it while listening to a Robin Mark song as well- Even more joy and praise to our Lord and King. Thank You Lord and thank you Back to the Bible for offering this daily devotional.

I'm thankful for my husband's and kid's great sense of humor!!! How fun it is to be in a family that can joke and laugh thru the small stuff. :)
Things I'm thankful for: Employment, the freedom to follow my dreams, strength and health and daily food, a warm comfortable place to live, all my pets, friends who love me, God who is always with me, my father who loves me, my sisters who love me, their health, my education, this great and beautiful country, the beauty of the seasons, also P4!
I'm thankful to be a part of the P4 family, my relationship with God/Jesus/Holy Spirit, my life, my family, my friends, my job (and all other streams of income), food, shelter and good health! Please pray with me concerning finances. I'm believing God for another part-time job, and I applied for a position at 4 daycare centers on Monday & Tuesday. I'm praying that the LORD will open the door to the center where He wants me to be. My husband and I are seperated (but we live in the same house--seperate bedrooms), and he was helping me with some of my bills. Well, he lost his job about 3 months ago (however he's receiving unemployment checks), and he told me that I'm on my own now, which means that I have to be responsible for all of my bills and expenses except for the mortgage payment on the house. My sister-in-law (his sister) lives with us too, and she pays some of the bills. Thank you so much for your prayers! :-)

Read today's Bible Reading (Psalm 100) early this morning with Tami & Dr. Kroll, and was truly blessed by it! :)
I'm thankful that I don't have to cook Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. Some friends that moved away from our hometown invited me and my hubby over and we've accepted. All I have to bring are some pies. I made pumpkin last night and tonight will be baking an apple, cranberry walnut pie (not my own I'm sorry to say but straight from the freezer). Don't judge me please. :-) Happy Thanksgiving! Tami W.
i'm thankful for HIS revelation of HIMSELF in HIS word. for being with me during the times i didn't even know it. for showing me things when i was in the belly of the whale (living in my car). thank You, LORD!
I tend to forget to thank God for His blessings in my life, but what reminds me to be thankful is when I inwardly or outwardly complain about my lot in life, and then I see someone who has trouble walking, is blind, in a wheelchair, etc: It is then I can say "Thank you God" for my capabilities in life, no matter what challenges I am facing.
Sometimes I think these people are there with their disabilities/challenges, to help remind me to be grateful for what I do have, no matter how rough things get. I still have my health & mobility.
Thank you God, and forgive me when I complain.
The greatest blessing the Lord ever gave me is my wife Nancy. For 32 years we've shared tears, laughter, trials and victories together. Thank you God!

For God's guidance and protection to our island as we celebrate 45 years of Independence, I say thank you Father. For young men and women who are bold about their love for the Lord, I say thank. I am thanksful to live in a nation where I am free to worship the Lord without fear of persecution or bodily harm. I am thankful for our brave men and women who have laid down their lives so I may have the privilidge to worship God and enjoy freedoms. I am continually thankful for these brave men and women for placing themselves in harms way for these very freedoms. Thank you Lord Jesus for giving us eternal life.
