Psalm 120:1-7
Sometimes our circumstances are just plain...yuck (you fill in your own details). No, we don't like it at all, but those times are just part of life. That's what I see as I read Psalm 120. The writer finds himself living with and surrounded by ungodly people and apparently, he's unable to leave. So he does what he can. He cries out to God and relies on Him for strength and comfort to cope with this difficult situation.
So what does Psalm 120 show you about dealing with times of trouble and difficulties? How will you draw on these verses? Tami W.

It gives me much comfort to know that for whatever the trials are that I experiance through life, my Father God is there to hear my cries. Psalms 120:1-7 challenged me to relize this. I also relize that we will not be necessarily lifted out of those circumstances but we will grow stronger and learn a valuable lesson about our Character that God wants us to learn. The most important thing of all is we never have to learn these lessons alone if we call out to God like the psalmist did. I thank My Lord Jesus that I do not have to face things alone, and I ask for His strength to face the trials and the difficult lessons that I am learning each day!
v.1..."and he answered me."
v.4--the answer...
conclusion:-God cares about us ("and he answered me.")
-God is in control
-He is a god of justice...no misdeed goes unpunished
When we take our troubles and leave them at the feet of Jesus, knowing that we are terribly inept at bringing about any kind of permanent resolution on our own, the burden of worry and discontent is lifted from us and we will "...soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."--Isaiah 40:31
It reminds me that even though I abhor what we as a society have become, with homosexuality being "cool" and "the norm", and any semblance of decency being ridiculed, I have to turn to the Lord so that the lies of society don't start to become something I blindly accept.
