Genesis 41:1-36
Have you noticed how Joseph and dreams just seem to go together? Dreams were an important part of Joseph's life from the time he was a young boy--first his own dreams and then interpreting them for others. Joseph's insight (ability) concerning dreams was clearly given to him by God. Joseph recognizes this, gives God credit for his special gift and he is ready and willing to exercise and use this skill for God's glory (Gen. 40:8; Gen. 41:16).
So what are some of your unique skills and abilities? How can you or how are you using them for the Lord? How can you or how are you giving God the credit and the glory? Tami W.

It was amazing!
It is always amazing obeying God, and following what He says.
It is all about God's perfect timing. When done in God's perfect timing it is amazing! God is GOOD. I have passed verses to a friend of mine, and it was all in God's perfect timing. I love how God's ways are so amazing. Having a relationship with Him is amazing.
Listening to God and obeying opens up amazing experiences. I still need help with both, but when I do listen and obey God blesses me. He sometimes wakes me in the night with a need to pray for someone or to write a note of encouragement or even to write my testimony to share with others. God is definitely
supplying the words. I still argue with Him about the need to do it then, but sweet sleep always follows my 'obeying'. I may be up for an hour or two, but feel so refreshed the next morning.
I don't know if this is unique, but I've had a number of experiences where God has allowed me to feel another's pain, both emotional and physical. It has enabled me to pray for these individuals and their unique situations with much more compassion and intensity---to the point of tears. And God is soooo GOOD! Those prayers were faithfully answered. I've learned to tune it to those "God moments", believing that the Holy Spirit is directing me to respond in prayer, which the Spirit himself will script, moving the hand of God into action because He has orchestrated the whole thing. The timing is right, and God could choose to act on His own, but he privileges His children with the gift of participation. I have reaped such personal joy from these encounters that I can scarcely describe it. Hail to the King! It's all possible because of Jesus!
These verses and Tami's questions really made me think! I was a school counselor for thirty-some years, and I was able to use skills that God had given me to to help children, and have a successful career through those years.
Recently, I retired--and now what? I am still struggling with how I can serve God as a retired person. Interestingly, at the same time I retired, I also began experiencing a great deal of arthritic pain--and I cried out to God to help me. (And of course, according to His promise, He has helped me!) As time has passed, I believe that perhaps I am undergoing this pain so that I can be helpful to others who experience pain/affliction, as well. I can be a comforter--and I think that is where God is leading me. I have found that no matter what happens, I can trust in Him to lead me to what I need to do. I trust in God that He will allow me to share with others my own experience of how He has helped me, led me, and always has shown me mercy and grace. He has given me hope, comfort, and forgiveness--and the glory goes to Him!
I claim the most valuable/pertinent gift in history of mankind which is God's only begotten son- his shed blood for our eternal salvation w/ life thru Christ the true word of God
I believe God has called me into intercession. EVERY morning at approximately 3:00 a.m. I am wide awake, inspite of the time I went to bed. What I do realize is that whenever I pray, seeking the Lord, I am not tired or burdened in the mornings. The problem, though, is that not every time I rise up and pray. I feel so bad sometimes. I enjoy writing: poems and short stories - this is to honor GOD. Because of my personal experiences, I love to minister to people and find it much easier in particular situations. I have heart as well for missionaries/evangelists. This is where I stand right now.
I have no idea of the gift(s) the Lord has given me! I have prayed about it, but I have received no answer.
God's gift to me is the blessing of the holy spirit; the goodness, kindness, patience, peace, love, joy, selflessness, humility, selfcontrol, and faithfulness. when I talk to God and check myself when putting on God's armor. I reflect to see where my attitude is with these gifts and while on my drive to work, I can feel his presence and before I know it mid day at work I stop and realize how amazing God's grace is for being able to get unplanned tasks completed while not having started the planned tasks. At the same time, minister to people by listening and praying for them while at work. Yes-GOD is EVERYTHING!
