Genesis 45:16-28
When Pharaoh learns about Joseph's family, his response is wonderful--"It pleased Pharaoh and his servant" (Gen. 45:16). Pharaoh then instructs Joseph to bring his entire family to Egypt and generously offers to give this foreign family the best of the land. That's pretty amazing, and we can see God's hand in it all. But Joseph also played a major role in this outcome. Everything about him reflected his foundation in, and love for, God--his words, his actions, his attitude. Pharaoh and those around Joseph saw it day after day and it clearly had an impact.
So what kind of impact are you having on those around you? What are some things we can do to be more like Joseph? Tami W.

This simply a beautiful demonstration of God's love at work in His servant. Some of us do not have such courage to trust God in all things. As christians we have to understand that people are watching us and are dependent on us for direction and inspiration. Point to note, if when Joseph's brothers came to him and he had mistreated them and repayed them evil for evil then the message of his life, the fact that all these years he was a man of integrity would have been twarted by this one act.
I am a single christian woman who is living and working in an environment that is filled with sexual promiscuity among other things. One of my male coworkers said something that was both shocking and reassuring. He said i was the only lady he knows who is not rushing into such relationships. Praise jesus.
I know i can do more. I pray that the lord will be present in my deeds and my speech. May my light burns so bright that others will wonder whats so different about her. For me it's not just saying that i'm a christian it's living a life that emulated christ.
Being a truly Godly person is very attractive to others! They can't help but respect that kind of person because what they're really seeing is God-in-action!
Joseph did as a servant would. Jesus did as a servant would.
I try to set a Christian example; however, it is not easy. It seems that misperception can be easily given. One reinforcement that I have received is when non-Christians feel they 'need God's help', they go to people whom they think have a connection to God and ask them to pray. Also, I have been blessed with the personality 'wiring' of a positive nature, which makes it easier when dealing with trials and trying to show that God is working in me.
