Psalm 119:49-72
As we move on to Zayin, Heth and Teth, our three sections from Psalm 119 today, the Psalmist starts talking about God's Word during times of difficulty and affliction. Three verses were key for me. "This [God's Word] is a comfort in my affliction. . ." (vs. 50). "The Lord is my portion, I promise to keep your words. . ." (vs. 57). "It is good for me that I was afflicted that I might learn your statutes" (vs. 71).
So what did you learn about God's Word during hard times from Psalm 119-:49-72? The next time you're experiencing difficulties (and for some of us that's right now), how will you make verse 71 a reality? Tami W.

Hi Tami:)P
Thanks for this site: I am not sure how long Back to the Bible was first heard on radio; I am 66 years old, and I remember listening hearing the program that my parents listen on sunday afternoons, that is in British Guiana. I came to the US in 1970. I found Back to the Bible on line:)P It was like finding a lost friend: I listen to the daily message everyday:) I could hardly wait for tomorrow to hear the next message: Become a little sad because it is not on the week-end but that's okay, only because I love Back to the Bible: As a child my mother told me that if I never read any part of the Bible, there are Psalms for each day:) I have read & study the Psalms every month, the funny thing is everytime I read them, it's like seeing it at a different angle: There is morning Pslams and evening Psalms, I tried doing it twice but I would forget the evening Psalms, so I do the whole day all at once:)P I spend at least 3 to 4 hours a day reading and studing the word of God. I even find the hynms and could sing for about an hour(all by myself and my cats) I have missed appointments, but that's okay:)p Lately I have not been doing that, and I find myself feeling very uncomfortable, like something is not right. The message today I believe is that God is talking to me, he is telling me that He misses me, I do miss Him:) Thanks for reading this:)P
I am a cancer survivor. Through it all God was with me. His Word comforted me. I had time (that I had not taken before) to read and learn His promises and decrees. While I would not have chosen to have cancer, I know that God used it to draw me closer to Him and is still using it to help me minister to others. So yes, I am thankful and it was good for me to be afflicted.
Hi I am getting treatment for Hodge kin's Lymphoma. Another 4 and a half months for my treatment to finish and reading Psalms speaks to me. Psalms encourages those who are going through discomfort. You won't believe a few months back I had a dream about being washed away in the sea and then swimming back and holing on to a big rock!..then I was safe from the waves. I too think God has put me into this to draw me close and free me from addictions!..Thanks be to God!
one thing which i have realised with God is that if we seek we will always find him through perseverance many people successed out of wat seemed destined to be certain failure one thing which i have realised is that i should do my best and God will surely take care of the rest
