Righteous 101

Psalm 112:1-10

After reading Psalm 112 there's no doubt that our goal should be to live as a righteous person, and we're given quite a bit of information on what that means and looks like. Now right in the middle of all this information and instruction are these awesome words, "For the righteous will never be moved. . . He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord" (vs. 6-7). I say, Amen to that!

So how do you line up with the description of a righteous person as it is here in Psalm 112? Are there areas that need a little improvement, and if so, how will you go about doing that? Tami W.

This really resonates with me. I am trying to bring righteousness into my life. My daughter is in the e.r., with a split personality, the bad half is making her not eat. At times, I feel like giving up, but I know I have to trust in the Lord, do the right thing, and he will make everything as it should be.

this message helps us to identify the most important person in our lives and that is Godthis scripture just encourages me as an individual to take the time to remember who i am why i am here and remind me who put me down in the first place

The Psalms talk repeatedly about spiritual blessings...blessed is the man that meditates on the law day and night..blessed is the one who sins are forgiven..blessed are the righteous.

For me this begins and ends with a love and submission to God's holy Word

I have always had a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and the Lord has never disappointed me in satisfying my spiritual appetite

As far as lining up with Psalm112 goes, I am under construction...but I have the foundation...God's Word!

Hello David! May we know the name of your daughter to be able to more easily send up prayers on her behalf (and on behalf of the parents as I know how difficult any forms of mental illness can be to deal with). Be assured that our loving heavenly Father knows of your pain and He tells us that He will give us strength for each day. Leaving you in His tender loving care.

This is a hood reminder for me as I an going through a physical trial that is completely out of my hands. I need to always trust in Him.

"...his heart is firm trusting in the LORD." Psalm 112:7 This gives me a mental image of a rock that will not budge, because it's foundation is on strong ground. I want to be that rock, and be grounded in my faith.
It's very very hard. I have a terrible time in pushing relationships. If I feel they are going too slow in my eyes. God puts it in my heart to trust him and be patient.
