Acts 2:22-47
Peter is quite the evangelist. As a result of his preaching on the Day of Pentecost, 3,000 people receive Christ. Absolutely mind blowing especially when you consider the situation and that this didn't take place in a modern setting or environment like we have today. Now what we see happen next is also pretty awesome. All the people who received Christ immediately come together, as a group, pursuing the Christian life. We see them daily taking in teaching from the apostles, praying, fellowshipping, eating together, praising God and even sharing their money and things with each other.
So what do you see about this early group of believers that you, individually, or maybe your church, could put into practice or benefit from? What does Acts 2:43-47 show us about the importance of interaction with the Lord and other believers beyond just Sunday? Tami W.

Im not sure if we can consider it just an ordinary thing! What Peter did preaching the sermons on Jesus is very intriquing/interesting I think!I mean look! Here he is preaching about the GREATEST MAN TO EVER WALK THIS EARTH-JESUS!Last night I seen 1 of thee greatest movies to ever have been made"PASSION OF THE CHRIST"-+ if you've perhaps seen that movie-its a life-changer!How anyone could treat an innocent man so inhumanely cruel -it just isn't even thinkable!
You have to remember Peter lived with Jesus for approximately 3 years! So he had a great sermon to preach on!
There are 168 hours in a week & if you don't keep Jesus at the front of our lives,it gives Satan a hold where he can grab his footing! So we can't live our lives after church on Sunday with thee attitude that "Well I went to church & gave my hour 1 1/2 hours whatever your church service lasts"& forget about God the rest of the week!1st of all we ought to be praying, reading his word everyday be a walking talking sermon for those who dont yet know Christ! He IS THE LIVING MESSIAH!I'M SO GLAD TO PRAISE/WORSHIP YOU JESUS!
Meeting with other Christians at church on Sunday is very important snd I miss it greatly. Since my husband's stroke almost a year ago we have been unable to attend our church. I miss interacting with other Christians and hearing God's message. We rely solely on Christian radio to fill our church void. That's why we really appreciate programs like yours that feed us the Word. It's hard to understand why bad things happen and bitterness controlled my life for several months. I have finally come to grips that God understands and is still with us even in the bad times. He still provides. Please keep us in your prayers and please continue to do God's will in broadcasting his Word. Thank you.
I am living proof that the body of Christ is wholly responsible for continous growth and maturity for a rewarding relationship with Jesus. Without my church, I would have been lost (again). Whenever the opportunity presents itself I give the following message in the most appropriate way: being a believer, having faith, etc, is so much more than once a week attending church, opening the bible, praying, etc. You get out of it what you put into it. Then I give my testimony.
Joni, thanks for sharing your story with us. We're sorry to hear about your husband and know your situation likely brings unique challenges each day. We're glad to hear that Back to the Bible has been an encouragement to you as you walk with the Lord. We will gladly pray for you as you care for your husband and seek God through His Word. Tami W.
