Matthew 6:1-4; 19-21
Everything we do is motivated by something. Now here's the thing, there are proper and improper motivations, and since we're not perfect, we act on and respond to both. Jesus knew this and He points it out very clearly in Matthew 6:1-4. He also lets us know that it is only those good deeds we do with proper motivation that will be rewardable when it comes to eternity--when we are standing at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
So what are you going to do to make sure you're doing good and helping others with the right motivation? How can we use and draw on Jesus' words here in Matthew 6 to help us? Tami W.

Oh how true. Thank you for making me look even deeper into my every thought and action. With out you there is nothing worth living for. You are my every breath and give me such peace. I pray that all I ask and do is for your work here until your work is done. I recommit my all to you. I give you all the praise and all the glory for your names sake. When I ask that you protect and give health and prosperity to my family you answer with love and grace. I know what ever your will be done. I pray for Vicki's health and happiness and ask your healing power for your names sake, Jesus Christ or savior. Amen.
My comment is for yesterday on Extreme Desire. I just want to first say, it is wonderful when we are honest with ourselves and one another:)
It is so true, we are so blessed to have the freedom to read God's Word. We need to take our opportunity and share Jesus with others. We need to get into God's Word daily and ask Him to open our eyes, to the things we can not see, he will open our eyes if we ask. We then need to be wiling to share what God is teaching us. We serve a real God and we need our lives to reflect what we believe. It is so exciting to begin to step out and obey and see what happens. Step by step. God is an amazing God, we just need to follow Him, trust Him. It is scary at times but it is so worth it!! The Bible tells us to come Boldly to Him. The Bible also tells us to be different, what better way than listening and obeying and living out God's ways in this world. We have this opportunity to share so much. We need to get out there, past our comfort, and trust God He is there to help us. We are not alone. God is with us and there are others willing to put themselves out there and share Jesus with others:) We can do this:) It is not about us, it is about God. He will lift us up above our fears we just need to take that first step and rely on God our helper.
