1 Peter 1:3-9; Galatians 6:6-10
As Christians we have a living hope. But so often life is crazy and I get caught up in all that's going on and don't necessarily give a lot of thought to my living hope. So what Peter conveyed in 1 Peter 1:3-9 was a good reminder for me today. He tells us about living hope--the hope we have now "to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled and unfading, kept in heaven for [us]. . ." as a result of Jesus' death and resurrection (vs. 3-4). Placing our faith in Jesus is how we receive living hope. And going forward, our faith is our core and foundation as we live for Christ.
So what does 1 Peter 1: 3-9 show you about the importance of faith and how it benefits us and works in our lives? What about how God values our faith? Tami W.
P.S. Take a minute and thank the Lord for the living hope you have today. Ask Him to help you continue to grow and draw on your faith.

The living hope that we have through Jesus Christ should always be in the forefront of our minds. If God's great mercy and grace are well understood by each of us, most of the other problems that we face will pale in comparison. I find myself far too often forgetting about this hope and instead focusing on problems of this world. The problems of this world are real, but they are no match for the glory of Jesus Christ. Our friends and family who do not know Jesus Christ need to know that without the blessed hope of Jesus they will spend eternity in hell. They need to know that far more than any other reason to turn to Jesus Christ.
Thank you for sharing Eric. I liked what you said. The hope we have in Christ is uncoruptable. That is so wonderful to know. That one day all this will pass away and by faith we have so much more. God sure is a good God. I like what you say about people needing to know. Too many sadly just think today is all we have when there is a greater world yet to come. God's blessings one and all!
