Luke 23:26-49

If you're like me you've likely read this passage many times. So rather than rehashing the story, I'm simply asking you to read this passage once again with this perspective: What did Luke 23:26-49 show you about Jesus and his focus on this necessary day? What did you learn from Jesus' actions and responses? Tami W.

What was most significant to me was how focused Jesus was in His purpose. Even in last few hours of His life Jesus taught (Luke 23:29-31), made intercession (Luke 23:34), and saved souls (Luke 23:43). He was poured out to the last drop.

Jonathan, I really appreciated your reflection. You highlighted some very significant points.

That is true He stood on what He knew The Father wanted from Him and did not back down even though he had been beaten, mocked and abused. It shows us the endurance we need to have when things are not going the way we think it ought to. And as Jonathan said he taugh, made intercession and saved even in that state. Good reading!

I learned despite the pain, hurt, humiliation Jesus was still about His Father's business. Teaching, Praying and demonstrating love and compassion. Lessons I need to learn as I serve Him !
