Slaves

Romans 3:23-26; 5:6-9; 6:20-23

Our passages today are all about salvation (and great to use for witnessing, by the way). Each one plainly lays out that we are all sinners but that Christ died for our sins so that we might have the free gift of eternal life (Thank you, Lord!). Now when we get to Romans 6: 20-23, Paul talks about our being "slaves of God." Definitely something worth thinking about.

So what does being a slave of God mean for you? What does it look like in your life? What would you like it to look like? Tami W.

P.S. This is day one of an important series titled Facing Your Final Job Review which takes an in depth look at the Judgment Seat of Christ, salvation and eternal rewards. You seriously don't want to miss out on this series.

In America we live in a culture that celebrates freedom. Freedom is great but it can be misapplied in regard to the spiritual arena. There is really no such thing as a "free-agent" in a spiritual sense. We either serve sin and Satan, or through Jesus we serve God. There is no such person who is "free" of service to one or the other. The great thing about Jesus Christ is that when we serve Him, our efforts are never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58) and they always produce righteous fruit.

WE cannont serve two God's. Only our Heavenly Father. MOst of all to be sure it is from God, take a few minutes to use the following:

Am I building this on a sandbar or a bedrock? It the answer is Sand pay attetnion...because if you don't you'll float away on another day.

I have never liked the term "slave", I would rather say "servant" but God's Word say's both so I need to look at being a "slave" in a positive way not negative way. None of us are in the middle we are either slaves to sin or a slave to our Lord....
