Risk Taker

Mark 15:42-16:18

Most of us are familiar with the name Joseph of Arimathea because this was the man who used his family tomb to bury Jesus. Now if we look closely at what Luke tells us here in Luke 15:42-46, we'll see that this was a big task and step of faith for Joseph. Joseph was a "respected member of the Council" (vs. 42), and as we know, Jewish leadership was the force behind getting Jesus crucified. So Joseph of Arimathea risked much by stepping out and associating himself with Jesus.

So when is the last time you stepped out and risked your comfort, your friendship, your status, your whatever, on Jesus? What can you do to take an even bolder stance for Christ going forward? Tami W.
