Good Soldier

2 Timothy 1:15-2:13

Paul uses a common example in 2 Timothy 2:3-4 to explain how we should be operating and navigating our life as a follower of Christ. He charges Timothy with being a good soldier for Christ, with the reminder that a soldier's goal is to please the one who enlisted him. So true.

So what does being a soldier for Christ mean to you? What can we do to make sure we keep our focus on pleasing Him? Tami W.

I endure everything for the sake of the elect, for others. Other people drive me nuts! I want to have a spirit of love for all people, no matter what. I am a work in progress :) He remains faithful because he can't deny Himself; I love the philosophy of that. It's fun to think deeply!

It is difficult to remain and act Christian in a secular workplace and world. I think God places difficult people in my life who insult me and make me jealous to show me:
> What a sinner I am.
> I am learning.."Don't get too puffed up in your Christianity" you can fall quickly
> The Holy Spirit is telling me to come back to The Word and prayer in a powerful way. The Lord will teach me to practice Long Suffering and patience
> I was encouraged by those passages and texted them to a relative for encouragement today! Praise God!

I agree with Brigid alot.I have to use those times as exercise to strengthen my integrity and character and grow more pleasing to God.My biggest issue is to always be joyful in what I do.I read this somewhere,In the minutes& hours, chores &choices, words&action of my day would anyone guess to whom I belong?I work to always look like I belong to Gods army.
