Extraordinary Life

Genesis 24:61-25:10

We come to the end of Abraham's life today in Genesis 25. I was drawn to verse 8. "Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people." This basically says to me that Abraham had a good life--living for the Lord. It made me think I want a life like that too (although maybe not 175 years). :)

We've been looking at Abraham for several weeks now so I thought a look back as we say goodbye to Abraham would be good. So what did God show you through Abraham's life story? Have you experienced any changes in you or put something into practice as a result? Tami W.

Amazingly Abraham live 75 more years after he thought he was too old to even be with Sarah, then after her death he fathers 6 more children to Keturah. How narrow our vision is!

Although she'd never announce it, today is Tami's birthday. Feel free to leave your birthday greetings on the blog or on Facebook! Happy birthday, Tami! We're so thankful for you.

Abraham is an excellent example of faith. He wasn't perfect but God used him anyway. If we will trust God's word, we will be used for God's purposes and there is no better outcome to life than that.

Happy Birthday Tami! Thanks for your work with P4

May the Lord's continued strength, guidance, counsel, blessing and provision be yours in the coming year. Happy Birthday!

Thanks Meredith for sharingthe info on Tami's birthday. Happy Birthday Tami and may God continue to bless you and give you the guidance and strength to continue His work here on earth. We wish you all the very best and I hope you will have a wonderful day. Thank you for the time you spend with us each day through Powered by 4.

I have learnt from Abraham that we cannot go wrong when we are with the Lord. If we continue to serve Him and live by His Word we too can be fruitful. When He calls us, let us have faith in Him, because He always provides and He will never leave us alone in the dark.

Abraham's story is one that I hope to read all of it again in the near future.

Also, Happy Birthday Tami!

Feliz CumpleaƱos, Tami! May you live a long, God-blessed life as
did Abraham.

A Very Happy Birthday to you Tami! What a marvelous job you are doing with this blog. Thank you for your desire to serve us, your bloggers, with all your energy and daily thoughts about scripture.

TAMI, Please have a Happy, and a MOST BLESSED, B-Day! Thank you so very much for your faithfulness to our Lord Jesus Christ, and for your work with Back to the Bible! God is mindful of your labors of love.

Happy Birthday Tami! I was surprised at Abraham's marrying again. I've read this before but I didn't hear it til now. I pray we all are as faithful as Abraham to do God's will.

Why is it that Abraham left everything to his son Isaac and the others he gave them gifts and sent them off? I started power by 4 this week.

Isaac was the "one" to carry on the Family name!! I am sure his gifts to the others were important. There ways in the OT were different than how we think. Abraham was not perfect, but none of us are. His reputation is one of the best! I hope I do as well.

Happy Birthday yesterday Tami.

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY TAMI I TRULY WISH U MANY MORE.There are so many lessons that could apply to my spiritual walk from abrahams life,i would pick one it would be how abraham walked by faith & not by sight.
