Genesis 21:22-34
Abimelech is back on the scene today, but this time he is seeking a treaty with Abraham. Why? Abimelech tells Abraham that "God is with you in all you do.'' You see Abimelech has been watching Abraham and he's seen and taken note that Abraham believes in and follows God and that Abraham is being blessed by God. What a great example and reminder that as Christ-followers people are watching, noticing and, yes, assessing what we do and how we live.
So think about your life, maybe a typical week. What are you doing that lets others know that 'God is with you and in all you do'? What might you do to make that statement even stronger? Tami W.

I happen to live in 'low income housing' and depending on my wages, is a big factor on if I qualify or if my rent goes up. I have been encouraged by many co-workers to lie on the paperwork or hide my wages in different accounts so that my status for low income housing remains the same. I always let them know that I will be honest in my doings because God promised in Matthew that if we seek first the Kingdom of God, all these things will be added unto us. What I have found out is that those "things" are specific. In content, He is talking about our food, clothing, and shelter. So if my wages are a factor in my not being able to live in low income housing, than He will provide shelter like He said He would. I just need to be content with what He provides and at times that can be an issue for me. Like Jesus' example prayer, "thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven".
My husband sees that everything I do is for serving and he very rarely says anything to make me feel he doesn't like it. Sometimes he even encourages me to do things. But there are times when he says something that cuts deeply, but it is only because he doesn't know God nor the power of His Word and Grace. Please pray for his salvation.
Also, I had quit teaching a Tueday morning class because of a health issue AND only 2 out of 10 children were showing up. But found out later they missed me and were very unhappy to have to stay in the "babies" class while Mom's were in their study. I will start back because they are God's children. Pray for me about that too.......
