Thank You!

Psalm 92:1-15

I love the opening verses of Psalm 92. "It is good to give thanks to the Lord...For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work..." I have to say AMEN to that! Now I try, everyday, to make sure I give thanks to the Lord. Even so, I know I could do better.

So would you join me in a little exercise? Take a couple of minutes and think about what you're thankful for today--and I mean everything--not just the big things. Then, complete this statement.

I love you Lord. Thank you for ___________________________.

I'll start us off with a few of mine. I love you Lord. Thank you for: my loving husband, my church and pastor, for making it possible for me to talk to my sister in Africa today, for the beautiful orchids that are blooming in my window and reminding me of you, for the opportunities you put before me to be involved in telling others about you. thank You for my wife and the love she has for me and our children. thank You for Jesus!

I too am a control freak. I recently returned from a visit to the ocean. On my visit there the weather turned rough and I was fortunate to have a front balcony few of what was taking place. The wind grew in strength and the sea tossed even more mighty than before. Then right in front of my eyes the sea stopped rushing in and back out to sea, instead it just seemed to dance in front of me. I was amazed and stared at this for several minutes. As the storm passed the sea went back to it's ritual and tossed back and forth. As I sat and ponder these things my soul felt how mighty God is! I thought of how Jesus calmed the sea in front of his disciples. How much more can God calm the seas in my life!! How I wished I could see the things that are higher. I grow weary of this wicked world that we live in. Yes I want to see Jesus!
