Amazing Song. Amazing Girl.

Luke 1:46-55

The song of praise we see from Mary is simply beautiful. I can almost feel her joy as she poured her heart out to the Lord. But what I marvel at the most, what I find so intriguing about this song, is the absolute faith and trust demonstrated by Mary. None of the things that were happening to Mary were part of her plans, yet she submitted to God joyfully even though the situation had to be scary. That amazes me.

So what can we do to get our hearts and attitudes more like Mary's today? How can we use and draw on Mary's song and example to help us let go of our plans so we can joyfully proceed with what the Lord has for us? Tami W.

I find Mary falling to God in Faith comforting and an example. She must have been devasted by her situation as we all can be at times. Life is not easy as humans. Mary was definatly human. The Bible does not tell us a detailed, every feeling she had or for that matter David, Daniel, Samson, Martha etc. The Bible would not be able to be in Book form. So life examples for each of us are to be learned from people God chose to have in His Book. Mary's story affected so many people not just her life. Everyone around her saw "God" in her if they chose to. Now because Jesus has "come" I pray people around me see "Jesus" in me.

But when the right time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, subject to the Law, God sent Him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the Law, so that He could adopt us as His very own children. Galatians 4:4-5

Jesus releases us from the chains of sin to bring us into His family. We need to celebrate the life of freedom He has given us. As we celebrate Christmas, let us remember the purpose of Christ's birth and that we are His children. What an honor and privilege to be called a child of God.

Take time to minister to those in need, and pray that the love of Jesus shines in you each and every day. As you prepare for Christmas and begin to celebrate, use this time to reveal Christ to others. What a wonderful opportunity to show Jesus to others as we shop, stand in long lines, prepare meals, while driving or riding in our vehicles, at the bank machines, at restaurants, church programs, and while guest are at your home or while visiting other's homes. Opportunities are all around, don't focus on the tasks at hand, but focus on those around you as you show them the gift of Jesus in your life. If you are having guests in your home, perhaps have Christmas music throughout the house. Show people the most important thing in your home, the Word of God. Use your bibles throughout the house opened to the story of Christ birth. If you have children's bibles or stories, lay them open in your child's room. This can be an encouragement for those that are Christians, but also be a way of those that don't know to see the Word of God and perhaps begin to read.

Lord, help us share the testimony of your birth with others. Help us to remember to share not only the story of your birth, but of the purpose of your birth, life, death, and resurrection. I pray for those that don't know Jesus, that through hearing the stories about you, they will come to know you and be a child of God. I ask you, Lord, to help us focus on You, the most important gift we can have and not what we don't have. Help us release pain, grief, loneliness, depression, any form of despair to You and replace it with Your joy and peace. Give each person reading this message today, healing of woundedness, physical pain and spiritual dryness. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

I pray that i could have the faith and trust in God that Mary had and be able to submit to God joyfully. I am honoured to be called a child of God.this Christmas season i pray that more will turn to God/Jesus and follow Him forever. in Jesus' name Amen

I see Mary as some who really believe and trusted the Lord. How could you be so willing to accept God plan over your own plan knowing you could lose your life.Having the faith to said yes Lord, when looking back at what Mary done and how she responed I say teach me to trust you Lord that way
