Psalm 83:1-18
Psalm 83 is a crying out to God for action and justice. The psalmist, Asaph, lays out all the evidence, the offenses against God, of the surrounding nations and peoples. Then he boldly asks God, in a variety of ways, to intervene and handle the situation. Now I applaud Asaph's example here because so many times our initial response is to try and deal with wrongdoing or problems ourselves. Not the case here.
So how do we get to the point where we turn our difficulties and problems over to God no matter what? What's it going to take for us to absolutely trust that He will handle it? Tami W.

Usually after the fact is when I realize my error. I need prayer for wisdom to put GOD/prayer first, action and words last....
Thank you Tami, Wood Kroll, Warren Wiersbe, Tony Becket and all the staff at BTTB. You will never know how much I need to hear your daily devotions. They are always right on target to where I am at. To God be the glry great things he has done. Pray for our prison ministry and team. Thanks
Absolute reliance on God will come from me when my daily walk with God gets closer. When all my actions are directed by God's words. That is why I continue to participate in P4, study the word, pray and participate in church. God's words must direct my actions in every sphere of my life.
Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith it is impossible to please God. We have to place our faith and trust in God to right the wrongs. We have to let Him do it His way and not take the "Burger King" approach to life in trying to have it all our way. God will judge those who need to be judged.
Wow I just remembered what I heard in a powerful sermon, "Not trusting God is a mild form of atheism." Sometimes we are so used to what we can only see physically that we forget that God is GOD. Thank you for reminding me that my puny human power is nothing compared to God's amazing sovereignty. So what's it going to take for me to absolutely trust? I forget sometimes but when I remember that He already handled humanity's biggest problem of falling short of His glory, I can rest assured that He will handle any other problem. Nothing else compares to that huge victory. If he already sent His only begotten son so that I can have eternal life, and that is a promise I fully believe, then I know that my problems will not consume me. He will see me through it. Wow how great God is.
Oh how true these feelings are. I am so thankful that all through the Psalms the Psalmists are so gut wrenching honest with their feelings as they cry out to God. As these days of God being pushed out of everything continue we so need to be reminded to rely only on him for our strength and wisdom to persevere.
Faith is a big part of it. As other have said and trust. The psamist was pretty harsh in his words for God to strike out. I don't think God desires that of us. Mercy over judgment. The let God decide, That is what I believe anyway. Thank you too Tami I enjoy P4.
